The Egyptian Scout Movement is one of the oldest Arab scouting movements, having originated in Egypt in 1914 and been registered with the World Organization of the Scout Movement in 1922 (1). A cultural, artistic, and heritage event entitled “The History of Egyptian Scouting”
The National Museum of Egyptian Civilization in Fustat organized a cultural and artistic heritage event on Saturday, February 18, 2023, in cooperation with the Egyptian Federation of Scouts and Guides, and in the presence of the Egyptian historian Dr. Farag. The event, entitled “The History of Egyptian Scouting,” was a great success, attracting visitors from all over Cairo. Also participating were Scout Leader Mohamed Abbas, President of the Egyptian Scouts Federation, and Scout Leader Yanni, Head of the Greek Scouts in Cairo.
