A commemorative silver coin marking the transfer of the royal mummies
The Official Gazette, in its issue No. 23 (continued), published Prime Ministerial Decree No. 20 of 2021, dated June 10, 2021, authorizing the issuance of commemorative silver coins with a face value of 100 Egyptian pounds to mark the event of the transfer of the royal mummies. As part of the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology's initiative to partner with the Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities in documenting the transfer of the royal mummies, a set of commemorative postage stamps has been issued to mark this occasion. Dr. Amr Talaat stated that the latest global technologies, including QR code technology, will be used for the first time on Egyptian postage stamps to document this important event. Dr. Khaled El-Enany added that the event will be the focus of global attention.
