According to the Central Bank of Oman, two commemorative silver coins were issued to celebrate 50 years of Oman's modern renaissance, in recognition of the cultural legacy of the late His Majesty Sultan Qaboos bin Said bin Taimur – may God have mercy on him – and to embody the renewed renaissance led by His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tariq – may God protect him.
November 17, 2020A coin commemorating the 45th anniversary of the Green March
Rabat, November 5, 2020 – To commemorate the 45th anniversary of the Green March, Bank Al-Maghrib issued a commemorative silver coin with a face value of 250 dirhams. The obverse of the coin features a portrait of King Mohammed VI alongside the inscriptions “Mohammed VI” and ”Kingdom of Morocco.” The reverse depicts an aerial view of the city of Dakhla, including the Atlantic coastline and the Moroccan flag.
