A new 5 dinar banknote
On February 15, the Central Bank of Libya (CBL) issued a new five-dinar polymer banknote, coinciding with the tenth anniversary of the February 17, 2011 revolution, which saw the end of the Gaddafi regime. An initial order of 5 billion Libyan dinars was placed, with the banknotes arriving that same week from the United Kingdom, where the printing company, D..., was located.
